Car Hire with Joe Trans

We recommend Joe Trans for airport transfers, car hire, or day trips around Phuket. They can also escort you directly to Villa Apsara. Contact: joetransjoe@gmail.com. If you plan to drive, an International Driving Permit is advised — and please don’t drink and drive.

In-Villa Massage

A massage therapist can come to the villa for treatments in the private massage room. Great for winding down after a beach day. (Discuss with the maid for availability and price.)

Private Chef (On Request)

The villa is self-catering with a full kitchen and a welcome basket provided. The maid (on duty 9 am to 5 pm, excluding Sundays) can assist with cooking and shopping. If available, she can help arrange a local chef for an evening meal — usually around USD $30–35 per person. Meals are prepared in the villa kitchen, so you’ll get a mini Thai cooking lesson too. The BBQ is also free for you to use anytime.

Tops at Porto de Phuket – A modern, full-sized supermarket with a wide range of fresh produce, household items, and international brands.
Villa Market (Boat Avenue) – A popular upscale supermarket with a solid selection of imported goods, fresh produce, and wine, just a short walk from the villa.

How do I arrange car hire or airport transfers?

Please book in advance with Joe Trans by emailing joetransjoe@gmail.com. They can organise both airport transfers and car hire, and will escort you to the villa upon arrival.

Do I need to tip the maid?

While tipping is not mandatory, we provide the following guide for your consideration.

Our maid works between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm six days a week (not Sunday). If you seek to use her beyond these hours, we first suggest you ask the maid (she is free to decline) and then recommend a tip of THB150 per hour (as a contribution to overtime). We also recommend this for other staff who may come to help the maid.

On top of this we recommend a tip to cover daily routine work, which may vary depending on the number of people in the villa, tasks performed (eg shopping), and personal laundry (which is not a standard service). For short-term stays, we do not expect a continuous flow of laundry and reserve the right to levy a charge.

Costs for the chef (if available and used) are separate from these charges and are negotiated separately. Our maid is available to help you and to make your stay more enjoyable. We anticipate her providing good service, and we encourage you to be generous with your tipping.

How far in advance should I book services?

It’s best to let us know at least 48 hours in advance for chef, car, or massage bookings.

Are day trips or tours available?

While the maid doesn’t coordinate tours, Joe Trans can assist with booking day trips around Phuket. It’s best to contact them before your stay.
